On 30th June 2026, Prof. Priyanka Chatta and I, Prof. Mangesh Malusare, successfully conducted a Management Development Programme (MDP) on Soft Skills for the officers and staff of the Navi Mumbai Police at Khanda Colony Police Station.
The session, “Building Trust Through Communication,” focused on enhancing communication skills, empathy, active listening, emotional intelligence, teamwork, conflict resolution, and professional conduct. The programme was designed to strengthen interpersonal skills that are essential for effective policing and building public trust.
The session was highly interactive and included role plays, real-life case discussions, group activities, and practical communication exercises, encouraging active participation and meaningful learning. We sincerely express our gratitude to Pillai University, Dr. Nivedita Ma’am, and the Navi Mumbai Police for providing us with this valuable opportunity to contribute to the professional development and capacity building of the police force. We also thank the senior officers and all participants for their warm hospitality and wholehearted cooperation throughout the programme.
The successful completion of this MDP was a rewarding experience, and we look forward to contributing to many more such initiatives in the future.
